|July 10, 2001||vs Caledonian Conquerors||Lost by 15 runs|
The rain came on cue at 6 p.m. and came down in buckets and troughs for 15 minutes or so, before easing to a steady drizzle.
But both sides wanted to play and so the Callys faced some gentle stuff from Castle and Boyd in the rain, before the sun came out and made a glorious evening - but not for the Fallopians.
Mike Brough, the Cally opener, refused to get out and at the end of their reduced 12 overs he had notched up 70 and his side 107.
No problem, we thought. But then the wickets tumbled, catches were held and "The Finger" Barrass cut Jon Idle's innings short by declaring him run out after Gary Boyd sent him back.
A player short, we were 15 runs shy with 10 balls to spare, leaving us stranded at the bottom of the League's division two. It can only get better... can't it?
