This game was played after rain all day but it was a dry
outfield. We had Moazzan back and one new player at last minute due
to Sheraz being ill.
Rose & Crown won the toss and put OF1
in. Junaid started with two fours followed by a huge six. Going for
second six, was caught right on the huge boundary. Najaf joined
Bilal and both continued for a well contructed parntership of 70
runs.
Najaf followed from his previous 50 not out to a solid
37 with two great sixes. Bilal made a solid 39 with highest number
of fours on a long grass.
Then came the blast innings of 50
not out by Ahmad with three towering sixes at strike rate of 235.
Naseer had a quick 15 with huge six over cow corner. Mohit and
Moazzam finished on a high note with strike rates overs 200.
It was a great team effort where no strike rate went below 150.
Bowling was started by Ahmed and was rewarded with a wicket off
the first over by an excellent catch from Junaid diving low to his
right.
Moazzam and Ahmed shared three wickets each. The final
wicket (like last week) came from Mohit.
Moazzam and Ahmed
generated serious pace. Naseer had only one over with good pace and
conceded only three runs. Najaf was tight and hit with flight and
angles.
We had two players with three wickets each (Moazzam
and Ahmad) and both with one catch on the boundary. But Ahmed was
man of the match with a sweet high-intensity 50. Great win and day.
