This encounter was a new fixture on our calendar at the luxurious home of Bentley CC in Brentwood.

The weather conditions were perfect around 21C and I won the toss for the fourth consecutive time (Top Tosser!). So we decided to bat as usual.

Six of our batsman all got into double figures but never progressed, except for Junaid. He dominated the bowling and scored freely for his 55 which included three sixes and six fours, continuing his good form from the previous week.

At the halfway point we were confident of defending our total, as all our bowlers so far this season had delivered.

Bentley struggled as they lost wickets with regularity, starting with Umair trapping Hunter lbw in his second over. Waseem was on fire and clean bowled his three victims and finished with outstanding figures of 6-1-17-3.

Jay Rahman also bowled a flawless spell and removed the dangerous Carter for 33. He attempted an off drive that went straight to the hands of the ever-so-reliable Umair at mid-off. Rahman finished his faultless spell with figures of 5-1-14-3.

I took a couple of identical wickets, both pitching outside off stump and knocking off just the leg stump bail!

Nihar Ksainihar finished off the match by clean bowling Tremain and we won comfortably by 84 runs.
