Ripped apart
A team strong on paper proved tissue thin when faced with the
rapier-sharp bowling of the teenage Victoria Park Juniors.
Fast and accurate bowling from Jamshaid and James tore asunder
the Fallopians' opening order, with only captain Jonathan Stebbins
making double figures.
The game featured debuts from Zac Curtis (guest-starring from New
Zealand via Freddie Barrass), Simon O'Callahan and Steve Ward. They
made nine runs between them.
O'Callahan, who achieved a maiden duck, was particularly unlucky
after he stopped a delivery which spun over his bat and rolled to
the foot of the off stump, dislodging the bail.
The Fallopians innings ended in the 11th over after Stebbins
played round a Moinul twister.
The youngsters knocked off the paltry 41 total inside four overs.
It was the seventh lowest Fallopians innings in recent history (see
table).
