Injuries, two: Rob Watts pulled something in his back diving (and
missing) at square leg; Philip Barrass pulled a thigh muscle batting
and had to limp off
Silly run outs, three: John Shaw too slow on the return, Tim
Castle stranded after a "Yes ... No ... Sorry" call from Rob Watts,
and Paul Hosking out somehow
Great catches, one: unfortunately by the opposition skipper
Graham Hall, diving and catching one-handed a massive skyer from
Steve Ward.
Dropped catches/missed chances: too many to mention
Generous LBW decisions, one: Ian Mylam. leg well forward, sent to
the pavilion by a tortured Paul Hosking
Stumpings, one: Peter Frisby bamboozled by a slow, looping
delivery, thought he could charge up the wicket, but failed to make
contact.
Old Fallopians out bowled: none
Weather: lovely long sunny summer evening
Paul Hosking kept wicket, Tim Castle captained, Philip Barrass
took some long-distance photos on a tripod (which
you can see on Picasa here...)
