Result : Another victory for Old Fallopians by 57 runs. It was a 35-over match. Not a single man of match as we were full of good performances.The ground was small from one side and huge on the other. It was nice warm day for the game.

Toss : Old Fallopians lost the toss and were put into bat by Homerton.

Batting : Suhail and Zubair opened the batting to a flying start. Zubair got going from 1st over and made a quick 50 where he tried one big short and got caught at deepish mid-on. That was the only catch by Homerton who had a off day dropping all together 10 catches. Suhail was joined by Sheraz and scored kept on moving – Suhail got out trying the 3rd run on over throw for 59, and Sheraz was caught behind on 46. Azaz had a run in with the keeper. Anyway we kept our cool and Rubel hit a quick 32 – taking the total to massive 245 of 35 overs.

Bowling: We started with Azaz and Zubair. Azaz foxed Homerton captain with a back of hand delivery – hitting the leg stump. Then a partnership developed with a strong Australian starting to have a go at our bowlers. John Shaw came and got the wicket of the 1st over where Yusuf took a sharp catch at square leg. Still the run rate was quite high at half time (17 overs, 120 runs off 2 wickets). Then after drinks break we brought our key Spinner - Sheraz and and got major spin – getting the Australian batsman offstump when he was 2 short of 100 (bowled on 98) and got 2 further wickets – Steve was miserly with his bowling and got the keeper clean bowled. Naveen and Rubel were in with wickets also – Tim came in his second spell and was very energized by our performance and took much longer run up – and got the wicket with a quick ball – caught by Suhail at short mid off.

Fielding : Excellent field compared to the opposition. 3 of 4 catches taken and everyone was alert in the field
