Played at Victoria Park. Report by Sam Shahid
Result : Another victory for Old Fallopians by 86 runs against
Victoria Lounge. We are on a roll and now top the league (Division
2) with a big margin. This was the 2nd time on Pitch 3 - we hate to
be on due to its size and long grass - We were against the top of
the Division 2 team but it was a tough day for them. Again lot of
good performances with bat, bowl and field.
Toss : Old
Fallopians won the toss and elected to bat. We had good teams so
batting first was easy decision.
Batting : Rav was injured
today so we opened with Karamat and Charlie. Both got to a good
start and Charlie got out on 15, Karamat made a quick 50 not out and
Rizwan contributed with speedy 21. Yusuf hit a huge 6 of the last
bowl of the innings.
Bowling: We are always a strong bowling
unit. Philip got us to a flying start with 2 clean bowled in his
first over. Yusuf also got in to the play and then Rubel followed.
Within 5 overs they had lost 4 players. Last pair tied to last out
all 16 overs but that was a tall ask against our bowling, but it was
not bowling but fielding that got the last one out in 12th over.
Sheraz did not even had to bowl today.
Fielding : Excellent
field and the key was the run out from Karamat.
