The penultimate match of the season saw the Old Fallopians
Seconds indebted to the West Country trio of Turner, Roberts and
Banks for the bulk of our runs.
On the vast plains of pitch
3 boundaries were, as usual, difficult but the latter still managed
to clear the boundary.
However, excellent bowling lines from
the opposition's Davidson (4-15) reduced us to 84-6. But crucial
lower-order runs from Hamilton and Mehboob took us to a competitive
126 from 16 overs.
Sports Interactive were never in the
hunt, as the Fallopians spin quartet of Stebbings, Hamilton, Dubey
and Mehboob proved too strong for the opposition, with Hamilton
narrowly missing out on a hat-trick.
Even though Sports
Interactive managed to bat out their overs, it was at the expense of
reaching their target, ending the evening 33 runs short on 93,
ensuring a fifth victory this season for the Seconds.
